I know this post belongs in another section, but I was hopeing that either MandarinaRacing, or somebody else who has installed a Mercedes-Benz pressure plate, will respond to this post. MandarinaRacing replied to one of my posts a week or so ago that his mechanic had installed a 8 1/2" diaphragm p.p. from a Mercedes-Beaz 190 on his 65' 200cid that has a dished flywheel. He said that the only modification that the mechanic had to do was to "mill the flywheel rim so the disc would sit properly". I was hopeing you could elaborate a little on this milling? Was the milling to make the flywheel dish deeper, or was it to make the diameter larger? Also was a stock 8 1/2" disc used; as well as the stock throw-out-bearing?If anybody else has made this conversion I would appreciate any input! Thanks, Jim
