Direct mount/head swap completed

I finally got the modified head swapped on my motor and installed the 350 Holley 2V carb. The head was an old unit I had that was rebuilt by Mike's head porter. The head had already been modified for a direct mount 2V, but it also now sports 175/150 valves, mild port and polish, 302 valve springs and the head has been milled around .060. I also installed an adjustable rocker assembly. Mike's head porter did a fantastic job on the head!! :D It really pulls hard in high gear at the drag strip. Oh yeah...been out with it yesterday. You'll have to check my other post in the 1320 Crowd section of this forum titled "Back to the track"...the track results were phenomenal....at least I thought so!

Yea I 2nd that!Where did you get that linkage plate? If you made it you wanna sell me one?
I did make it...took about 8 hours of time. Not something I would really want to do again. But if the price was right???

I did one kinda like that too....only I used the two mount bolts on the carb.

Being a direct mount and the cast cover I would guess those two bolts would be too low to get at though.

What cable are you using? I used one from an EFI 300 truck and it is stupid long.

I'm using a cable for a 1991 F150 300I6...Napa sells them. It's almost too long, but there is nothing shorter that will work. If you look at the pics I posted you might be able to see the big loop in the cable.

If the Maverick feels really good with the direct mount Holley 350 2v I can only wonder how good it would feel with one of the Annular discharge Autolite 2bbl's?

Hey guys, your holley 500-4412 can also be converted to annular discharge venturi's by Sean Murphy Induction.

If you want the full cfm flow of the stock downleg boosters, the carb shop can install their pro billet annular discharge venturi's.

Note the removeable screw in plugs at the bottom of the bowl. These can be removed & with a special holley tool you can change jets without removing the bowl. Of course you need the special bowls with this feature.

Summit also markets a fuel filter for use with AN fuel lines.

.
Just need to test to see if technology out performs the autolite.
The holley has 1000% more parts available from the aftermarket than the autolite.
Braswell has special floats available & also bottom feed needle & seats. Bill

Bill, it's hard to tell from the picture, but are you running the large 50cc accel pump that the 500 Holley comes with or did you change it out?

Gene, i am running the large 50cc pump.
I am running .025 accerator pump discharge nozzles on the carb with the large boosters & .028" on the carb with the smaller probillet nozzles.
When i tried the 350-7448 carb i used the small accerator pump with .031" nozzles with the orange cam in the #2 position. Bill

OK, I'll bite.

How much will this set me back?

Also, has anyone tried adding a 1" phenolic spacer under carb to get some more velocity and add to plenum volume?

Just supply them the body & the installation is less the $100.00 for 2 annular boosters. Bill

gene fiore lol I wouldnt want to make you go through that again.thanks but it looks good and agree with wow a full sec. I cant wait!!
