Distributor Dimensions

I need to find out the dimensions of a DUI distributor.

Specifically, what is the height from the distributor seat on the block, along the distributor axis, to the top of the distributor?

Also, what is the diameter of the DUI distributor?

I need to know this because I would like to switch to one, but I have a custom mount I fabricated that holds the alternator and a/c compressor on the distributor side. I need to know if it would clear them.

the D.U.I. is 11" from the mounting boss to the top of the cap 5 3/4" from the mounting boss to the bottom of the body and 5 5/16" at the widest point at the bottom of the distributor cap.

Thanks a lot for the dimensions. Unfortunately it only confirms my concern. It won't fit.

My next option is to run a Duraspark I distributor as a trigger and use an MSD box for the ignition.

Does anyone know if a Duraspark I distributor is any larger than the stock points style distributor?
