Distributor upgrade

I've searched and have seen DS II upgrades for '65 and up , but I have a '63 170 with the small o/pump shaft. Short of changing the oil pump to the later style to use the later distributors, is my only option for a mechanical advance dist the Mallory 4543601? If I have get into the engine, I'd rather just swap it out for more displacement.
BTW, I converted the points to a Pertronix, but the LOM is giving up a lot.

Swap in a 200 and put a DSII in it. You'll like the 7 main 200, start fresh, no oil leaks, runnin' smooth, nice electronic distributor... and you'll have the chance to paint the engine bay and check all hoses and wiring during the swap. =) The nice thing is that you can do this engine swap in a day flat.

If I'm going tro do a swap, it's going to be for more than 30 cubic inches. This van has 104,000 miles on it and I'd rather just do a few upgrades and let the kid drive it.

don't they make a dui 1/4 inch distributer too?

That's what I'm wondering, or if there is an o/pump adapter shaft for the 1/4"
Pretty much any other mods (other than headers) hinge on a distributor. I'm toying with the idea of a HW 2bbl, but to do that I need to upgrade the distributor.

I found a DUI part number 39820-144 for the 1/4" shaft. Anyone have experience with this?
