Hi everyone premo site here 8)

Ive done a lot of reading of old posts but I am still lost with regard to a few things I still need to hook up.

This is all on a 250/4.1 crossflow falcon late 1980's I think? ( Block Code '83DA6015AA' '8K2') is been stripped had head work done, timing chain and a good clean up.

First up is the Distributor:
( '9230064728 U-TGFU6' )

A two wire with a single vac pipe.
My problem is how to wire it up? this isn't in a car body any more its going to be used in a jet boat instead.
Now its got those two wires in to the dizzy those two go onto one each side of the coil. The coil now will have two wires in and two out on each side of it a total of 4 all up. At a guess one of the wires goes off to a rpm gauge? but its the other wire what must be the + feed in? what volts is this? and where is it fed from?(at a guess its a 6v feed from the ignition on position and not the crank over) This things got no points or external spark sender unless its built into it?

DIZZY========Coil======= RPM ? and +feed from what and at what volts?

Any help with that would be very much appreciated

My next question if anyone can help and hasn't got lost in me trying to explain so far  is with regard to the Carb ( 'Weber 84DA TB A5F3')
Its got the electronic choke, my question is what power supply feeds this and where does it come from?
The other part of the carb I don't know is the other electronic part (idle solenoid?) its the plug on the side of it. What feeds this ?

Thanks for your time in reading the post above
I look forward to any advice you can offer.

I suppose we've got room for yet another Kiwi...

That's an '83-ish block. The distributor is head-smackingly simple. The 12V positive from your ignition switch goes to the "+" terminal of the coil. The pinky-red wire from the dizzy goes to the same terminal. The medium/light green wire from the dizzy, goes to the "-" terminal of the coil. This terminal is also where you attach a tacho.

Carb - constant 12V required for the choke, again from ignition switch. The idle solenoid also needs 12V and this may be from the same source.

That should get you sorted. North Island, or Mainland? :P

Wow :!: thats so good to read you had room for another kiwi  this one is imported from the UK tho (London) Now on the better half of the island  The North Just up from Wellington.

Thank you for your time with the reply addo, I can go right ahead with it. Will post a pic or two soonish it looks way different now its all been painted while stripped :D
All sounds simple and as I guessed on most of it, but its silly to only guess things go kinda smokey when we mess up the electronic side of things.
It was sold as a 87 engine little do many of us know at the time with regard to block numbers.

Take care aye
