Guys, I think the pvs. owner of my 66 coupe but in a dizzy other than the load a matic.
I posted a couple of weeks ago about my Pertronix failue, the magnet was rubbing the module. I am certain I have the right module/magnet.
There is no way to mount the module to allow the vacuum advance to move and for it not to rub the magnet.
For comparison's sake I purchased from Autozoo a reman dizzy for a 66 200 w/o thermoactor it is definetly a different animal from the one I have in the car. I put my spare Petronix on the new dizzy and it fits like it should, no rubbing issues, etc.
The dizzy on the car has Motorcraft part # D0D(?) 12127 L. Any idea what this is or what it is out of
The dizzy in the car does not have any visible springs, I believe operates off of vacuum and mechanical advance.
This dizzy in the car not compatible with my Autolite 1100 with the SCV correct?
Given what I have what are my options here? Should I drop in the reman dizzy? (never heard any many good things about the generic remans)
Any suggestions/opinions appreciated. Sorry so long. this is a 66 200 with the autolite 1100 with a SCV.
thanks!
