First of all.. thanks, everone for your help. Sorry I missed some of the posts in there--there was just so much (good) information thrown at me that I couldn't process it all!

Also.. when this Australian kit finally gets to America from American Auto Parts in Australia, do I need to use some sort of light oil or assembly grease when I put them on the engine?

Ok.. so I need an oil seal for a 200, then.. .. what about the cover gasket?

It's an easy one to make, though. Trace around the outside of the cover onto the material, then eyeball the inside line. Push a screwdriver through the bolt holes and twiddle to make a centre for circles to cut out. With a modicum of luck, the oil pan seal to the cover will be OK with a clean and smear of RTV.

Adam.

another trick for cutting the holes in your new gasket is to use and old peice of metal fuel line .Cut a peice about 2 inches long and put a sharp bevel on one end of it ,put the gasket paper on a soft bit of wood and give your bit of pipe a tap with a hammer . Makes perfect bolt hole sizes in gasket paper . :D

cheers Dave
