gone try this with my turbo T3 , dunno what its gone do , bolt on and some ajusting and whe wil see . these ar 2 x 40 M/M solex carbs. adapter is made for the 200ci bigg log intake. orginal gas hendel also fitting the carb nice and i must weld 1 tube onto it for my valve cover connection.

did do a test fit with the orginal spacer plate with tube onto it for the valve cover connection .

and test fit it onto the head , fitting great and the connection for the gas linkage is also verry good fitting !!

next weekend i gone instal it complete to the head , it seems to be that this is a verry easy instal with minor work to do , i only must figure out wherefor the connections onto the carb are fore ? i see 2 vacuum line,s out onto the carb en 1 vacuum dash pot. there must be some where on the net some document for how to connect ?

I really like the look of it. I think that will be really cool under the hood. Very interesting. So is the candle and marbles in the background.?

smart ass!

This looks great! Have you proceeded any further?

yep , after test fitting and seeing it fit good , i wil die cast the intake in aluminium , so the intake is gone now for making a cast model , the gas linkage did also fit verry well , i see no problems , maybe a little alu rod , that wil hold the carb up for its weight and getting this rod connected to the exhaust bolt ? but that desing wil be in the airbox adapter plate . the plate wil also hold a hole for the cable chocke !

btw : the side draft with airbox give,s a nice possition for adding a turbo that wil bolt wright under the airbox , yes .. under !!!! the outlet from the turbo to airbox also connected onto the under side from the box !!!! so there is much room left over to the shocktower .

nice, keep us updated. this is a great idea, especially in my situation. i have a 63 falcon with a 250 engine, because of the deck height there is not any clearance for a regular 2 barrel because of hood clearance issues.

best,

michael

It seems to me that hanging that carb directly over the turbo is going to create some wicked vapor lock problems. Better make a very nice heat shield.

good idee , i wil try to fabric something like a heather shield intregated in the bracket for the airbox and holding the carb up !

Make the adapter a bit longer and turn it around...have the carbs over the distributor side. That would solve the vapor lock problem and you'd have a faux-crossflow!

someone here had a wicked cool diamond plate heat sheild I seem to remember...I would love to buy one of those....

who was it? anyone remember?
