DSII conversion problem

I just installed a DSII and have a problem that I read about in another thread but now i can't find that thread.
I wired everything according to the diagram from MUSTANG STEVE site.
When I hit start, the car doesn't and the starter keeps running till I turn the ignition off.
1. I ran red wire from the ignition, where the thick pink wire was connected, to the coil and the module. Then left the pink wire disconnected and taped off. Also disconnected the stock wire from the coil.
2. Ran the white wire from the module to S side of the solenoid and disconnected the brown wire fron the I side. there is nothing connected to the I side at this time.
3. Then run the green wire from dissy to the - side of the coil.
Where did i go wrong?

the diagram that mustang steve put up is wrong. the white wire should go to the "I" terminal, not the "S" terminal. what is happening is that you are getting feed back from the ignition system and that is keeping the solenoid energized. you can leave the white wire hooked where it is IF you install a diode in the white wire to prevent current flowing to the solenoid. otherwise just disconnect the white wire as it isnt needed.

Disconnecting the white from the S post ended the starter problem.
I went back checking all of the connections and discovered that the red and white wires were crossed at the connector to the module. now I am getting power to the coil + terminal but still no spark. Also when I reconnect the white wire to the S terminal it now doesn't affect the starter.
