Dual Exhaust pipes

I recently installed a set of AzCoupe's Pacemaker headers, and am still trying to decide between single and dual exhaust. If I go with the duals, what would be the best and easiest way to have the driver's side pipe cross over to that side of the car? I don't want to have to mess with the parking brake cable, and am thinking of making a couple of quick turns and cross over just in front of the rear axle.
If anyone has a better suggestion and possibly a picture that they could post of options, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance!!

Don't know for sure if this is really going to help you, but what I'm planning on doing with my '65s dual exhast is to keep the pipes side by side & they'll exhast out the same side just in front of the rear wheel. Just a thought. Take care,
Edwin

Futura,

On my '60 Ranchero, I have a Clifford header, and I run both pipes back to just behind the transmission and then cross one pipe over to the driver's side. My Walker mufflers are in front of the rear axle. The tail pipes go out under the rear bumper ('60s style).

Sorry, no picture.

I ran one side of a '68 390 GT exhaust. I had to fabricate the pipe from the collector backwards about 18". This system has the transverse mounted muffler behind the rear axle and has two inlets and two outlets. I just brazed the driver's side inlet shut and ran the two exhaust pipes. One in, two out with 2" pipe.

I ran mine just like Hot 6t Falcon with dual flowmasters and it worked great.

On my 69 mustang, I was running out of $$ so my 2-out headers went into a pair of 31" glasspacks and I bent some tubing to bring the exhaust out just in front of the passenger-side rear wheel...looks cool and sounds good. good luck...BD[/url]

I love my new dual exhaust....
