I have been reading the posts on the Duraspark II conversion with great interest and wanted to do the same thing. I spent the better part of two days going through junk yards in the area (is there something about junk yard people that they always say on the phone, "Yes, we have that" and then when you get there and spend three hours looking, they say, Guess, we don't have that?). Finally, I was brought to a Futura with a six cylinder.
The guy started ripping the stuff out for me, and I will not bore you with how this all came to pass, but I am not sure that got what I wanted. For one thing it is not a Duraspark II module but a Wells. (I was staring at trying to figure out what the brand name was. I finally had to ask my wife who is not American, not Western. I said, What is this S-T- ? -M? She took a quick glance and said You have it upside down, its Wells). I cannot be positive that the car we took it from was a 200, it could have been a 250. I was searching for something to verify. I felt around the water pump and I could not find four bolts. But still I do not feel very confident.
Can anyone help me figure what I got and whether it is useful.
