Here it is. I snapped way too many pics of my DSII swap and figured I would share it all with you. With a bit of narrating I hope this will help anyone doing the swap. Also a big thanks to Mike for publishing the write up on classic Inlines.

Don't forget to use a heat sink.

Remember this is what worked for me. There are too many variable to cover so when in doubt consult the forum.

I just got a big file full of junk. Its possible my version of word is older than 2007, perhaps saving it as an earlier version to make it more compatible with older systems? Or find someone that can save it as a PDF since those updates are free?

OR just tell me what I did wrong?

Very Nice! I'd buy you a beer if you were closer.

Couple of suggestions, if I may be so bold.
* Might make it available in something other than MS's pesky .docx version, not everybody has (or wants to get) the savvy to convert to older or non-MS programs.
* This one line threw me, I wasn't sure you were talking about spark plug wires at first. "Reconnect everything and put it all back together, remember your new duraspark needs different wires."
* Might add some comments telling about the difference between the DS1 (smaller cap only, old points-type sparkplug wires) and the DS2 (bigger cap and adapter, new-style sparkplug wires)
* For other ignition systems: I'd think all you'd need to add for the GM HEI conversion would be this wiring diagram and some comments about heatsinks. Might see about just copying this info/pics/wiring diagrams?

If you have a Windows based system, the time to fool with it, and the inclination, you can go to openoffice.org and download free software that will allow you to work with all MS files.

Microsoft's web site also has some free plug-ins to allow some earlier versions of Office products to automatically convert the new 2007 formats.

Thanks for the comments, I'll clarify the items you mentioned Jamyers. Also MS 2007 gives me the option of saving it as a 2003 doc file. I'll try this when I get home tonight. Hopefully that allows more people to access it.

pdf is an open standard that EVERYONE can read. save it as pdf (i think word can do this) and link it instead of the doc. if word can't, use pdf redirect:
