So I got my Duraspark in... and wow. Exceptional gas mileage improvement as well as top end. Whereas before I started to lose power with my points at above 60 MPH~, it will easily go 90 now. =) Manual brakes and steering @ 90 MPH is awesome! (especially when your brakes grab to the left and you change lanes without wanting to...) Anyways, new brakes and we're good. Here's my question...
I got the Duraspark all wired up just right, and it's great. Slight hesitation from a stop, VERY slight, but I think that's in the carb (It was doing it before the conversion). Now when I punch it from a dead stop it really has the power I am looking for, but it ticks click click click click right in time with the revolution of the motor, and then cuts out after about 2 seconds. The clicking speeds up. It only does this when I punch it, otherwise, it's great through the whole RPM range... what is that?
