early 80's head

i got a rebuilt motor and was told it had an early 80s head on it what are the number that i should be looking for ? is it an E0-E4 or something

Howdy TL:

The only '80s casting is an E0BE. It had a variety of suffixes. It was used on '80, '81, and '82 model years.

Either D7BE or D8BE casting will be very comparible and will give you the same stuff. They do not have the EGR port on the side of the intake log under the carb.

i have the motor all ready.. thats the cast number E0 there are three holes next to the carb hole. two are filled in and the other has the throttle linkage on it. i dont need any of it bc im putting an 1100 on it.
