:shock: Here's one the you guys to think about, I have just fitted EFI to my 3.3 litre wagon and it goes real well and it's the first time it has had any where near the economy that I've been chasing for 2 years now it's great and not a worry in the world. :D
 
The stock 4.1 efi system, despite what so called experts say, is just fine on smaller engines. Even on the early sequential Bosch LE II Motronic, the mapping is very conservative, and based on pulse width, and air deamd by the air flap. The ignition is largely stock, and, if used on the early 3.3, it has a very high compression (9.2:1 or somesuch) compared to the 8.8:1 .

Here's another one to consider.

Our New Zealand 1.6OHC and 2.0OHC Cortina's, and all 72 to 86 3.3 and 4.1 Falcons, run basically the same jetting but with different idle mixtures. On emission engines, they just changed the EGR port and some emissions gear, and a few basic changes to the ignition ramp.

Carbs are the same for there little brother, despite the 25% capacity difference. Same for 4-bbl Carter 4.9 and 5.8's used from 1979 to 1983.
