Well, it's been taking a long time to get this far due to many reasons, but my crankshaft is finally completed. Turned .010, knife edged and re-balanced. The knifed edged areas have also been polished. Here are a couple of pics.

Excuse my ignorance here. But, what is the purpose of the knife edge?

Thanks

8) knife edging the counterweights allow them to slice through the oil mist easier, which releases a little power, about 5hp in the case of our little sixes.

It was all handled by my local machinest...he has a buddy who did the knife edging and then he also has a working relationship with a local shop here that did the balancing. So I actually don't know who did the work, but I could find out.

I wanted to do knife edging on my build but I skimped in favor of other high zoot parts :(
I think I'll be happy in the end though :)

I have a few items left like lash adjustment and harnessing but I should bark my 250 ci off in january
