Engine identification

I have a 63 Fairlane that does not have the original motor in it & was wondering if someone could tell me what the motor is originally out of? The numbers on the vehicle passenger side of the motor are C6DE 6015-B. Thanks for the help

It's probably a 170 or 200 cu inch 7 bearing main. I think 65 was when they switched to a 200 cu inch 7 bearing main. It could be out of a number of vehicles. There's some more history of these engines, follow the "Classic InLines" link on the Ford Six Shop tab. Link also here:

Yep, probably a 200. Look above the casting numbers, if there are 3 freeze plugs it's a 170, 5 means it's a 200.

If it is a C6 casting, it has 7 mains whether it is a 170 or 200.
Use the link and scroll down to the 1965 and 1966 section and read the text right above the tables.
