I got all the parts. Now it's ready to go back together.
Can yall recommend GOOD gasket sealants that are to be used in different application? i.e. Pan gasket, front/rear main seals...ZZ

Permatex is the way to go, on most applications with any performance in mind I go with Ultra Copper... best to not leak and seals great.
and is resistant to heat...

I used it on...
Intake, Headers, Water Pump, Thermostat, oil pan and timing chain cover...

I used some plain High Tac sealer on the fuel pump and valve cover.

Not sure about the main seals, I had them installed for me...

Hi
I’m almost one with mine and what I used was Aviation Cement. You can get at most parts stores. I didn’t put anything on the main seals or on the head gasket. Good luck.

Pretty hard to beat Permatex Aviation gasket sealer on places that you don't plan on taking apart soon. On valve covers like my VW I use Permatex Ultra Gray silicone sealer and only apply it to the cover, not the head side of the gasket. That way I can do several valve adjustments before replacing the gasket. It is hard to clean off though.

I like the Permatex Copper on the paper and cork gaskets. It holds in synthetic oils, too!

If you have a steel head gasket, use SLOW DRYING stuff. I used the Permatex Copper paint-on stuff, moving like the wind, and it worked well.
If you have a composite head gasket, use either Permatex soft-setting type or the liquid paint-on type, but only put it around the oil hole (and thinly, please) at the back of the block. The rest of the head won't need it.

I dislike the silicone types on engine parts (except the Permatex Copper, which is partially silicone) because the expansion-contraction cycle often breaks the seal where it contacts the metals. It works OK on differentials, manual trannies and the like, though.
