:) HELLO THERE, HAS ANYONE BESISDES ME HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH EXHAUST MANIFOLD LEAKING. I HAVE HAD IT MACHINED AND EVEN TRIED TO GO WITHOUT A GASKET AS SOME HAVE SUGGESTED BUT HAVE HAD NO LASTING LUCK. ANY SUGGESTIONS? THANKS

My 200 Fairmont exhaust manifold leaked when I got it. It had leaked so long that there was a piece burned out of the mating surface. I got another one and a new gasket. I strongly advise that you make sure that the manifold and head surface are in good condition, use a gasket, and tighten the bolts from time to time, especially if you hear a leak. I put starlocks under my bolts, but they still work loose over several months of heating and cooling cycles.

I got a new manifold about a year ago and had it machined the other day. It has a gasket on now. But i still have problems. I just would like to fix her for good.thanks :?

If the manifold has been surfaced, maybe the exhaust flange on the head should be as well. If both surfaces are good, and you use a gasket, there should be no leaks. Assumeing, of course that it has no air pump holes or they have been plugged.
