Hi everybody,
I'm a new guy here from chicago hoping to get some info on this engine that I want to put in a 1965 Falcon. It is a 6 cyl. C6DE 6015 B stamped on the block, C6OE-6090-D on the intake with 3-1bbl. holleys and a C5AR-7006-D 4 sp. trans. I cant find any info anywhere. Is this a rare combo?

Thanks, Hippy

hi there hippy, and welcome to the board

I do believe 4speed dagenhams have become a rare thing. The six-cylinder/ four-speed combo was quite popular in export mustangs in Europe and T-5s in West Germany. Performance-wise they're considered a less desirable option as parts are getting scarce.

As far as the three holleys are concerned, it's most probably something a fellow hotrodder did sometime back rather than a genuine ford installation.

Got any pics?

Hello again,
I have some pictures of the 3 carb set up. I see that people are looking but no replies. If somebody made this, they did a good job. I thought the part numbers would help. I couldnt find a parts i.d. site to tell me. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks again, HIPPY

Clearly an old school fabrication. You can see riser tubes welded onto the cast manifold, and the (comparatively) thin carb mount flanges.

Good to see some old school work, for sure. Nearly everyone now wants bolt-on, yet this site was originally founded by "hands on" type minds.

Regards, Adam.

When I saw a 6090 in the part number on the intake manifold, I related to the part numbers that I saw on my old 427 low rise and tunnel port heads. I started to think I had something rare. Oh well. It still really looks cool and is still something different to see.

Tthanks to everybody,
HIPPY

I like old school. 8) Thats the school I went to.

I noticed the choke on the outboard carbs, and no linkage for the outboard carbs. It looks cool, but are the extra carbs functional, or are they for wow effect?

It would be interesting to see how well this setup worked.

I forgot, welcome to the forum.

Thanks the the welcome everybody.
I had this engine for a while and I received it the way you see it now. I pulled the plugs and was a bit disheartened to see the cylinder walls and pistons on #1 and #4 are severeley rusted. A clear sign that somebody had stored the engine outside which is how I came across it in a local ad. good Question Stubby. In the morning I will look to see if these carb were functional and not show. I'll look down the throats which I've never done.

Thanks to all,
HIPPY

i just picked up this engine yesterday, funny you would start this thread.......
anyway, i'm building a 3 x 1 setup for my 300.....
but i got this for the linkage/resell value..........
it looks like someone (along time ago) welded on the 2 end carb flanges, and the did a pretty good job.
here's a link to acouple pictures (the bottom 2)

i'm thinking about ebaying this 200, but i don't know much about it, there is a decal on the valve cover saying it complies with 1971 emissions, could this be correct?

Bit of a mixed bag on the carbs! What's the code on the head (prefix to 6090)?

yeah, seems the end 2 are similiar (fuel bowls are different)

can you tell me where on the head to look? i got to make it fast, raining outside... :) engine is under tarp in back of truck still

It's on the intake "log" top surface and will either be obscured or between the carbs. Look for the numbers above and you're onto it.

Hippy, mine has same casting on the block......

C3DE 6090 D is one the intake/head.
also has C5DE 6015-B on the engine down near the oil pan

is there somewhere i can cross this info to get year/ etc....

thanks again

Howdy Guys,

A little bit of info about the casting codes

If you have C3DE 6090 D,
The first letter "C" stands for the decade - in this case the 60's; "D" is the 70's; and "E" is the 80's.

The second digit "3" is the year of the decade in your case 60+3 = 1963.

The third and fourth letters - "DE" means it was first made for a Falcon.

The 6090 is the code for ANY head ever made by FoMoCo. ALL blocks are 6015. So 52 F-3 has a 1965 block and a 1963 head.

The last letter is the engineering code that has never been really explained.

Good luck with them

Welcome!

Nice mod to the log, all the bases are in the same plane. Whoever did it, did it right!

I like both of those set-ups. But are those PLYWOOD spacers on that 300? Why, I could do that!!

Need to transfer that data to my cellulose/graphite data storage and retrieval system (AKA note pad).
