I just got home from the Ford 100th Anniversary Show in Detroit. Great show!!! There were several Falcons there, but almost all had 351s in them.

Ford didn't help any. They brought over a brand new Ute with the DOHC TURBO SIX and a gorgeous purple paint job. I couldn't help but drool!

Now I have no choice but to defect to Australia or rob a bank to finance importing one! :bang:

Unfortunaticitly, the utes aren't that cheap over here for the model you're mentioning. I wouldn't mind one either. Glad you saw the Oz contingent!

Cheers, Adam.

There's been talk of bringing the BA Falcon over to counter the Holden Monaro GTO, but I think the Ute would be a better seller. I understand that one problem is that production would have to move to the US, canada, or Mexico to avoid import duties on light trucks. Also the Aussie plants are runnig at full capacity now just with home market demand.

I am all for bringing the BA Falcon up here. All I know is that I want one. All that I have ever owned is RWD cars (Except for the 4X4 4Runner I had for a few years), and at this time am not interested in any of the RWD offerings that Ford has at this moment. I think that the BA Falcon would be good up here in so many ways. However, much to my dismay, I doubt they will bring the car up here. But, that being said, I still have my fingers crossed.
