i have an efi 300 and a turbo off of a 262 cubic inch john deere diesel tractor and i want to put them together and run about 5-7 psi. anybody with any tips? timing? fuel? anything i should know would be a great help

Get a MSII w/ 2 bar MAP sensor.

Otherwise, it's like timing anything else... Just with more cells on the load axis ;)

sorry i didnt get back sooner but thanks for the info. i figured that was going to be about all i needed. but where would i get my hands on 1? is it an aftermarket piece or out of a particular car?

You might look into that turbo a bit... generally with diesel turbochargers, being that diesels spin at relatively low RPM, they're relatively small for their displacement compared to gasoline engines. Basically, since that diesel has less displacement than the 300 and likely has a lower rev limit that turbo may be a bit too small. For instance, the Holset HX/HY35 available on the Cummins I6 in the Dodge ram is often used on gasoline engines nearly a third of the displacement.

Basically you just want to make sure its not too small else it can choke in the upper RPM range limiting upper end power. If you're only concerned about low end torque it should offer great spooling characteristics and give great power down low (if they're doing the turbo like I think they are).
