All,
This car has been a long road of rebuild, 2 1/2 years and what kicked my but was the fuel pump. The Electric fuel pump left me beside the road on 2 very hot days. This is the question, my engine is built performance...Log modified, yeller roller rockers, Board 60 over and an aggressive cam. So, I was told that the standard pump would handle the new engine. I wired up an electric pump (yes, I did buy a piece of crap pump from Auto Zone) but as I was stuck by the road I bought a standard pump and slapped it on. Guess what it cranked up, stayed running and read about 6 psi. Now I went out and bought a holly Blue fuel pump and regulator. But I ma wondering if it’s really worth all the problems I ran into before by installing? Any thoughts?
Steve
