after taking my 65 200 out of storage for the winter, when i start it up i've noticed that while it runs it spits out black moisture from the exhaust (i'm assuming this is unburnt fuel). not before long (maybe a minute) the entire car dies. is there possibly a problem with my float level? or is there any other kind of problem i should look into?
thanks in advance

It may be nothing now, but if it continues check your air and fuel ratios, including curb idle mixture. Black usually means too rich.

If your car is dieing, I would check into your choke adjustment. If it is a carb with a piston in the choke assembly, it could be fouled up and stuck. Sounds like it is running rich due to the choke.
