I think there were definite issues with the idle air bleeds and mixture that I couldn't overcome with my limited knowledge of Mikuni tuning. I did get a bike mechanic to look at it, but he was reluctant to deal with it, and I can't blame him. I also think that the Mukunis don't like being pumped fuel, so there were issues with the float levels too. All of it can be overcome.
I still have that rack of carbs and will try again sometime when I know more. In the meantime, I have the Stombergs mounted and I know a LOT more about them and how to tune those things.
