Your on the right track.
I'd have to go through my old books, but don't have time, even for a great guy like you, Gaz. Sorry!
Go to a second hand book store, and go through Street Machines old mags from 88 to 95. There was a set-up avaliable for the Ford I6 (and Isuzu Geminis, and Holden 308's yada yada ), as both the 1960 to 1976 log head, 2V and 1976 to 1993 Alloy head have the same front cover, same water outlet after 1972, same everything. You'll have to ditch the PS most likely.
Aussie 7 Mains posted a link to a triple Weber blue XD Falcon with 250 and gilmer belt drive in 2002 that got me kinda hooked on Ford Six.Com
Custom making one isn't too hard...you can unbrako bolt the 308 Holden or 350 Chev harmonic balancer on to the Aussie Ford I6 item, which allows the common US 350 Gilmer alloy pulley to be fitted. The stock Aussie Ford water pump can then use the US Windsor Gilmer drive, and the alternators are Bosch anyway. The belts used to come from Gates in virtually any number of cogs in whatever pitch.
