Just put my 5200 back on my 200... I was running a onbarrel holley of a 80 farmont it work but was a little lack in the performance(funny too it was a big carb) so I bought more brackets for the cable type trottle so I could repossition the cable for this other carb...Wow. its crisp... and very smooth...I havent noticed any flat spots like everyone else is fighting.

My major hold up on putting this back on was the weather and the need for a different throttle linkage. I pulled the rod off and went cable... I did have to cut some new gaskets(looks very nice) off our lazer cutter.

The only problem is getting this carb to idle back down..I think the linkage is touching something. if you touch it with your finger it returns but it hangs a little high other wise. I'll find out tomorrow.

FB,

Do you know the jetting setup in your carb?. I 'm working up some tech data on them and I was curious.

Thanks

I never had it appart.. But its off a 1979 Mustang Turbo motor.

If I pull the top on it I will write down the Data.

Frank,

I know this is pretty obvious but did you reconnect the return springs on the throttle linkage. I have never gone with a cable...don't know if the springs are even used, but...

I just test drove my H/W 5200 today for the first time. I was :D but had a similar problem. I had to kick the gas pedal up a coupla times to slow down....

the Carb its self has a small return spring and the cable has a built on return spring...I found a peice of the trottle bracket touching the linkage on the carb..a touch of the grinder and it works great...

I'll take a pic latter.

Thanks
Frank
