Well, I got my cam out this morning while my wife was battling the Black Friday crowds.
Wasn't very fun. For some reason, my cam stopped spinning right before I was going to remove it. So I had to put the timing sprocket screw back in so that I could get the cam to rotate. I'm guessing some sort of wierd oil lock or something. Got it to rotate and then pulled it right out.
I had to pull it in order to get the lifters out. I had a magnet ready...but it couldn't move them. I ended up having to push the lifters out from the bottom. That was fun.
I now have the engine as torn down as I'm going to get it. I'm leaving the crank and pistons in. I'm waiting for my double roller timing set, my COmp Cam 260H before I start reassembly.
