Is there a certain way I have to put my rebuilt balancer on? This is the first time for me and my dad replacing one of these. Do I have to line it up like the old one was?
this is somewhat dangerous as you can strip out the crankshaft by pulling the balancer onto the shaft with the center boltAnlushac11":1mmz9q15 said:The end of the crank has a woodruff key paid into it and the harmonic balancer should have a notch cut in it for the key.
You should be able to slide balancer onto end of crank then line up the notch to the key and thread bolt on and pull the balancer onto end of crank when you tighten the bolt.

on mine there was an outer pulley, and the inner pulley held the balancer ring
