Harmonic Dampener Install

Quick, stupid question.... When installing the harmonic dampener on a ford 200, will it stop when it reaches the correct place, or is there a specific distance it should be from the timing cover? Never done this before and the factory manuals are no help here.

It will stop when the bolt washer seats on the crank snout and damper evenly. You'll be fine.
