i have a quesiton. i have a 1966 200 I-6, and i need to remove the head. do the headbolts need to be replaced? what is the torque settings for the bolts? fi yall can help, id greatly appreciate it
You don't have to replace the head bolts as long as they look OK, meaning that they're not pitted, thread in good shape. The torque setting are done in 3 steps. 55-66-75 lbs/ft
and always follow this torque sequence for proper tightening (reverse order for loosening)
