Head Casting # ID

I visited my local machine shop at lunch. He has a head with casting # E BE 6090 BB. There is just a blank space where you would expect the year like"E0BE". It also has an EGR boss on the side of the intake log, just below the carb flange. It has a nice big log with a flat top. Is this thing any good?? Has anyone used a head like this and milled for a Holley 2 bbl???? Looks like milling might get into the EGR hole. :

.....THE BB ON THE END SHOULD MAKE THIS A 1980-81. THE FLAT TOP OF THE MANIFOLD WAS USED UP AND THEN THEY CAME WITH THE ROUNDED TOP. THE ROUNDED TOP WAS USED FOR THREE YRS. THE 1983 WAS THE LAST YEAR FOR THE MOTOR.

.....THE BB WILL HAVE THE NEW BELLHOUSING BOLT PATTERN. ALSO THE BIGGER VALVES, BETTER CAM, AND VERY BAD EXHAUST MANIFOLD.

.....THE ANSWER IS..... THIS IS A GOOD HEAD FOR A LOG HEAD.
