Header installation

As I removed my old exhaust manifold I notice that the very first manifold bolt was 1/2 inch and all the rest are 3/8 inch. Has anyone else every run into this before ? I have new breslin bolts from Mike that does not have a 1/2 inch bolt in the set. I can install my pacemaker header with the old bolt, but then it will look as though I was a true redneck working under a big old shade tree. Let me know what you think, please.

It was probably stripped and re-tapped in the past.

How many shade trees can you find in Bahrain? In 1965 I was stationed in Tripoli, Libya as a crew chief on an F-100 fighter and shade of any kind was an absolute luxury. I'm very lucky I lived through that tour of duty.
