They claim its a long tube header. Like the Hooker header maybe?
no longer made I believe.
Some of us wait'n wait on flee-bay, others to list one used, NOS...

"...easier to install..."
I like da price too !
(and ease of a 'tuck -up' due to off rd running)
Go (site) BB (bronk busters) !!!
Last summer at the local gas station-store I opened my hood for this younger guy. He was amazed at all the room I had to work on the engine. He had never looked under the hood of an old Falcon with a six. He said he was jealous of all the room I had to work on it. A header might sound cool but . . .

it takes up more room? increases heat in bay? Dont wanna finish ur sentenance-
But DO wanna hear. I like the ceramic coated oe. Fella at the shop convinced me
the SS would look good, wanted to send Ms. Winterborer some $ after Mike's death~
I'd agree on looks but hada go thru several starters, still not sure on fitment w/FW.

Too much room is the answer. For amusement I will say: "A header will out flow a 1 3/4' or 2" stock exhaust system from 6,000 to 8,000 rpm but . . . I drove a California emission 66 Mustang 200 C4, 2.80 gears 14' wheels, 1 /3/4" exhaust, for many years. It ran great. No LOM carb or dist, no header. As long as I kept the speed up to 75 mph I could ould drive from Sacramento up I-80 to Reno and only downshift once. I can wind my stock exhaust 200 to 5,000 rpm + easily at about 1/4 throttle. With 9 + to 1 compression, quick adavance curve and a wide band A/F meter to check the A/F ratio it's a lot of fun. The old six sounds like a sports car engine. Wide open throttle is something that I don't do much anymore. I would rather have fun the while driving at part throttle which is 99+ % of the time. Compression, a quick total spark advance and air fuel ratio is what matters to me.

that has some v e r y steep parts, not bad. I like coming the other way best (scenery) 95 on thru Lee Vining. I feel like Humphrey in Serra Madre a car chase scene thru the red rocks (then onto yo som mite which aint in the movie). Any way, thnx 4 further info~

only U can answ that.
Consider the cost difference then seek out (not on line sound spots) real life examples. Ask urself "Is X$ worth it to me for this?"
Exhaust 'note' is so very personal (& puter speakers so unreliable) you may be on a unsatisfying journey asking here. I
personally like that ofan i6 Itilian of 60/70 yrs ago having a resanator and abarth muff. My bronk 170 had something close w/a pin hole in muf when down shifted for engine breaking ona hill.
Since U will go to Matt, Scott Drake or flee-bay for 'pipes' I'd suggest (instead of a 'chambered' muf) U go w/a performance such as any 'turbo' (3 or 4 muf designs). U do not want to restrict flow (I assume) for fashion (sound). Altho some seek to makean i6 sound bent8 ish.

"do the research , then get what you can afford... "

Hooker dual out long tubes' and 'Smithys' on a built 250 in a '61 (#6602 - Maverick 250 application @ '72) and Hooker # 6601 duals (144/170/200 60-82) on a mild built 63 / 170 with two OEM round can mufflers for smooth quiet DD. Both setups have no drone.

. .

.. picked up a no-name set of dual out on local CL for $ 75 with interesting attached 3/4 'siamese' port corrector.

. .

have fun

This link has headers for $ 375.00, I've no experience with them .

Ford Mustang 6 cylinder, also fits; Cougar, Fairlane, Galaxy, Comet, Ranchero (long tube header, available Tri-Y dual exit / 6 into 1 single exit) Part Number HO-114

GOOD FIND

made nor'west of LA right here in Cali. Only "currently avail' long tubes being made? I dont C in site's pics (as is 6 into one). They show several 3 into/3 into 2 into 1 in pic on application page. Will post out a note to C a pic from them. Back Later~

C if I can mount the pic they just sent.
Got TWO models of the long tube HO-114-1 and -2. Singe collector versus 2. The -2 is below. Even tho long - they seem to crunch them up into a small space? I'm used to seeing the 6601 (hedman) stretched out. Not sure abt these...do they fold back'n forth or are they "medium tube"? No pic of single right now. No pic of other views on the -2 model.

"But a properly tuned 6 cylinder exhaust system is fabulous.
First of all, due to the firing order, you want to run one, two and three and four, five and six. If you can run both of those all the way to the back you would get even more, but even bringing them together after say, oh I'm guessing a 6 or 8 foot run you won't believe what you get out of it. It's great, fabulous." Pete Hagenbuch, Chrysler engine development engineer.
"The 64-65 HiPo 4 bbl 273 has a complicated custom single exhaust. Why not dual many ask? The factory tested both and got more HP w/ a single pipe."

out of my territory, but still pretty interesting (back pressure v scavenging effect a la P. Vizard). Lub me the i6 (i8 even beddah). Hada few 170s, never the 225. I will search out the "HiPo as I never heard of it. slanties'n falcons (esp 3.3, 4.1, 4.9) rule ! Thnx 78.
EDIT
Oh the Baracuda's small bent8, kouwell
"...235 hp at 5,200 RPM and 280-lb.ft. of torque at 2,800 RPM. This high-performance variant was standard in the new Barracuda Formula S (1965-1967) and optional in the 1965-1967 Dart GT and most other A-body models..."

If the Ford six 2" outlet exhaust manifold is a restriction a header could be installed then connected to a 2" exhaust system. If the vehicle had 1 3/4" exhaust Mustang six 2" exhaust system parts could be installed. This would be for DIYers that don't get any of their work done by a muffler shop.
Using a Fleabay header. I would connect the 2 pipes together with a Jones dual 2.00 Inlet 2.00 Inch Outlet Exhaust Y Pipe, Jones Exhaust Part Number: SU2-2 which is $29.99.
If the muffler was installed after the rearend a 2" inlet, 2 1/4' outlet offset at both ends a $42.99 Jones "Full Boar Flow Deflector" muffler could be installed.
Can the stock starter on a 200 be removed and replaced with a header installed or does the header have to be removed?

go fer SS when U can:

If working w/Matt (above) he works w/U, well... us, as a ThriftPower or Falcon motor exclusive supplier.

That Jones Y pipe looks like it would flow better and it's aluminized steel not stainless which more people have the ability to mig weld to an exhaust pipe. That Jones Y pipe is also available in stainless for about $34.99. Fleabay shippng is free. Fleabay headers comes with 2 stainless 2'"collector pipes that will connect to the Jones Y pipe.

I just ordered a CJ Pony Parts "Exhaust Tailpipe 2-1/4" Passenger Side Mustang 351C With Dual Exhaust 1965-1973."
A Flowmonster 2-1/4" 2 chamber muffler offset on both ends should clamp on the end of that pipe. I'll order that too along with a 45 degree 2 1/4" pipe to go on the end off the muffler. That pipe turned sideways it will come out right at the rear corner. I may try out a fleabay header so when my Gear Vendor C4 overdrive shows up and is installed my 200 will sound cool shifting thru 6 gears. CJ Pony parts 2.25 pss tail pipe.JPG
