i am toying with the idea of putting headers on my car. i have been looking around at the 2 companies for what is avalible for my motor. From all the past recomendations all of you have said that ford six parts are the best headers however from the photos on the website it looks like they are long headers not the shorty one that clifford offers. I kinda had in mind the shorty headers. Does fordsixparts.com offer a shorty header that i am not seeing. Also with the Y thing to convert down from 2 pipes to 1 pipe i am wondering what size it goes down to. the muffler shop said with the flowmaster mufflers, he like to go to 3in pipe as soon as possible and go into the muffler with 3in and come out with two 2 and quarter inch pipes. so i think it is like 1 in 2 out. Flow master said their 50 series delta flow is an ideal muffler for my car and will devliver a hot roddy sound out of my six. so before i can take the car to the muffler shop i gots to deside what headers i want and i gots to order them to. Also whats better ceramicated like what clifford offers or Jet hot like ford six offers. Witch one will decolor quicker and witch one is better for the header..

thanks a bunch

8) these little sixes need as much help as you can give them. even though they make good torque, the long tube headers would be better for low end and mid range power. as for the exhaust, i would keep the dual outlet headers, and run duals out the back with pipes no larger than 2 1/4", and likely more like 2". as soon as i can afford them i am getting a set of headers for a 250 for my falcon from mike.

I have both the long tube headers (Pacemakers) and shortie headers which are very similar to Cliffords. The Pacemakers are dual out. The shorties are available in single or dual out.

Jet Hot is a ceramic coating. There will be no difference between them as they are virtually the same product, just two different companies appling it. Both coatings have the same warranty.

if your going dual exhaust i wouldnt make the pipes more than say 1 3/4" to 2" on the pipes and muffler. backpressure is a good thing. 3" is WAY too much for cars like ours. in my opinion anything over 2" to much

:D :D You Can't go wrong with dealing with Mike at Ford six parts. Great products. I have had my jet coated pacemaker header on since last spring. no problems what so ever and it still looks like it was just put on. I used the the y pipe and went with a 2" exhaust with a Walker turbo muffler

I have installed a lot of 200 headers and have to say single is the way to go. The best performing combo seems to be a dual out header into a y pipe. I use 2.25 or 2.50 tubing depending on the app. Backpressure IS your friend and makes power to a point. Pick up one of these import tuner magazines that does a dyno test with a honda header and one of these outrageously large exausts and notice they lose two to three hp and sometimes 4-5 ftlbs of torque.

I'd go with the FSPP jet hot coated ones myself

If you want to go with duals, opt for a "K" code stock dual exhaust (2" pipe) and the exhaust shop can make the couple of extra bends it takes to hook it up or go with a 2.25" single pipe back to the muffler....3" pipe is WAY to big for even a wildly hopped up six popper...
