I have a 65 econo pickup with a 170, was gonna swap to a 200 as it would be easy as take one out and put ine in, but now I have a possible 250 that I can get I know there are differences but will I be able to still use the 3.03 trans, and motor mounts? room isn't a issue as I'm modifing the doghouse anyways for the oz 2v head anyways. One last thing are headers gonna be a pain to find for the 250 also. thanks

8) yes you can use the 3.03 trans, just get a bellhousing from a 289/351w-c small block with the 3 or 4spd trans. as for mounts, you can use them as well just drill a couple of holes about one inch lower so the engine sits lower. as for headers, 250 headers are harder to find, but check with www.classicinlines.com and see what mike has available.

thanks thats what i need to know wanted to start out with more horses anyways always said that there is no substitute for cubic inches. well check futher for headers.

are there any headers that work on the 250's? if not I'm gonna stay with the 200
