Howdy Bair:

It is an Autolite 2100 used on '64 1/2 260 V8 and '65 - '68 289 V8s with auto trans. It has a casting mark on the side of the fuel bowl under the accelerator pump arm of 1.08. It is rated at 287 cfm. It should make a nice carb for a warmed over 200.

Will I need to do any modification to the head in order to get this on? Or is there an adapter available?

Howdy Bair:

Yup! You will need to;
A. Modifiy the head by milling off the original one barrel carb pad and creat an oval opening and mounting pad to match the 2 barrel. Adapt linkage and Air cleaner. The down side of this method is machining, modifying and cost. The pro is maximum performance from this carb.

B. Buy an adaptor from a source. I bought mine from Clifford. Adapt linkage and air cleaner. The down side of this method is hood clearance and less than optimal performance.
