Highest compression for a turbo?

I got a '78 head milled down to yield ~ 9.3:1 for my compression ratio. I was going down the path of n/a. This turbo stuff seems really cool. I like the work many of you have done. Is 9.3 too high?

9.3 should be fine....just remember, the higher the N/A compression ratio, the less boost you must run without engine knock. The lower the compression ratio, the more boost you can run withouot engine knock occurring.

THere are many different turbo setups from as low as 7: to 1 Compression ratioo up to 11:1 ratio. They all have their purpose and reasoning for the specific ratio depending on application.

For you application, 9.3:1 is a moderate comp ratio for a forced induction setup.
