Howdy Back:
Yes, The Holley 1940 is a generic "FOMOCO Service replacement" carb for all versions and applications of the Autolite 1100 and 1101s used on 144, 170, 200, 223, 240, 250, 262 & 300, from 1960 through to early 70's. Autolite went out of the carb business in the 1969 year. The 1940s came with SCV and Non-SCV, manual chokes and autos, for auto trans and manual trans. IIRC bolt spacing remained a constant, however throttle bore mimiced the smaller diameter ( 1 7/16") of the 1100 and the larger TB ( 1 11/16") of the 1101.
So it is possible that your 1940 was of the 1101 type application for a cfm of 210 compared to 185 on the 200 1100s .
