And I was so careful....

I am in the process of reassembling my Holley 1940 after a rebuild. I seem to have lost a screw or pin. Can anyone tell me how the lever on the diaphragm is supposed to be attached? It looks like it should have a pin, but I can't seem to locate it.

smsag04 - How long did it take you to do the rebuild? My 1940 needs to be done and I keep putting it off.

Sorry to hijack the topic.

I don't remember taking it apart, I guess the pin fell out at some point. I ended up using a piece of rod, grooving the ends, and wiring it in so that it won't fall out.

Bengoshi2000 - This was the first time that I've rebuilt a carb. Disassembly took me about 20 minutes, then a couple hours of letting the parts soak, then rinsed them off and dried them with compressed air. Reassembly took me about 2 hours. The hardest part was figuring out how to put it together in the right order to get the linkages back on.

It runs way way better now, I'm glad I spent my Saturday working on it.
