hey im just finishing putting the extened cam package in my 67 mustang and putting on a 2bbl holley 500 instead of the 1bbl.
i was looking at the Nos top shot system but it looks like it only works on 4bbl carbs. anybody know if you can make it work? or any one know what would be a somewhat easy set up on the 500?
thanks

Back when I was doing research on the nitrous stuff I had considered the NOS TopShot, but the thing is that the little injector thing that goes on top of the carb has 4 holes.

Instead I used a NOS 2 BBL injector plate (Part Number: 12900NOS)

I also had to buy two 90° fittings to hook it up. The rest of my nitrous set up is from Edelbrock...one of the best systems currently available.
Like X said, my best et with a 50 shot was a 14.06 :D
I'll try to post pics of it tomorrow.

X and Mandarina,
I want to ask this question without starting a new post because I think you could answer it pretty quickly.
Could a stock rotating assy handle a 50 shot of Nitrious? and would it be worth the cost for a daily driver?

My engine has the stock cast pistons, rods, crank, main bolts and I've used up to a 75 shot, BUT I have made improvements in fuel delivery and ignition, which are IMHO a must.
So to answer your question I would say no.

As far as daily driver, that's the beauty of nitrous, you can have a very mild manered car that has lots of potential when you use the juice.

I would say yes it can, as long as you have GOOD fuel, PLENTY of fuel system to back it up, colder plugs, a GOOD ignition system, and a very good flowing exhaust
