I wanted a phenolic spacer and needed to mimic the oem throttle linkage. We had a piece of phenolic laying around. Only took 20 minutes or so.

Thanks bubba. Looks like it will be pretty simple to adapt the RBS linkage to that. It's nearly the same.

Stuff would make a good carb adapter. Very dense but relatively easy to machine in a woodshop

This is w/o it, it helps me there to. I've got around 3/8" clearance like that with the 5/8"+ spacer. It's hanging up on the valve cover in the picture, clocked like that w/o the spacer. But that's the way I need it clocked to help draw cooler air in the doghouse. I pined the warm air door down and pulled the thermostat in the air cleaner. It was shot anyway. Probably point it forward on that side.

 you have done a great job on all the detail work and designing the engine combo should be excellent. Good luck

1) Will the VC have the cable linkage tabs for the RBS or do U have that 'L' or 'J' bracket?
I think the '75 I have will be canablized for the '69 as I have an RBS as well.

2) Looks like you have the "M" head. Mine has not been worked (need 2 research the
'low rev / hi tq' machining mods 1st). What did U do to it beside the 'light' P&P?

Thanks Seth...

Not sure what you mean by 'VC' chad. I have all the linkage pictured, I'm going to swap it over to the new spacer. Look's like I'll jus have to extend the rod that connects from the U shaped bit to the throttle arm on the RBS.

Yeah, I did some porting, took down the guide bosses, smoothed the transitions and bowls. Ported the exhaust side all the way out. New bronze guides were installed, comp springs, 1 pc retainers, 78 1.75" intake valves and 1.467" 144 intake valves were installed for the exhaust. Minimal milling, just trued the surface and he cleaned up the exhaust flange as well. I'm at 9.6:1 SCR and 8.1:1 DCR w/ the new 256/262 cam.

"…jus have to extend the rod that connects from the U shaped bit to the throttle arm on the RBS. …"
ok, still rod linkage, thank you
I'm cable all the way.
(VC = valve cover, several oe systems to option out the cable inc. the bracket I mentioned above)

I see. I have that valve cover bracket as well from the 250.

I still need to devise a way to control the TV cable. I'll figure that out once the whole thing is in the van.

nice guidelines on the net if DIY.
#1 is make sure it's not a kick down (as I have made that mistake) cable.

As my '77 bronk C4 sat - some 1 stole the tq converter AND tv.
8-(

BTW: I believe it would ease things to make sure on the decision of "lever arm up' or 'lever arm down' B4 installation to ease final adj/install of tv process.
