Looking to mill down my 250 head to increase compression as much as possible till I can order an Aluminum head... block is 40 over, and the deck hasn't been milled. How much can I mill off the head without having any valve clearance issues? Using stock style dished pistons - not optimal for higher compression, I know, but the shop installed them w/o my asking...Long story.
According to Mike's charts, with my cam and IVC, I should be looking for chambers... well, as small as possible, really. How much can I take off the head, or should I look into having the deck shaved?
