Hi,

since my 200cui engine isn´t stock anylonger I wondered how much real hp I´ll get.
I got the following modifications:
Completely rebuilt 200cui engine (comes from a 65 mustang)
Autolite 2100 2v carb
Dual Exhaust system (with 6in1 exhaust manifold)
and somethig else but since I´m too tired right now I can´t remember it :D :D

Does anyone else have this combination of stuff and what are your experiences with it?

regards, ludwig

i cant give a number, but the 80/20 rule applies: the 20% of your money required for factory performance produces 80% of the power you can get out of it, and the other 80% of your money will buy you the remaining 20% of its potential.
so not more than 20%more than stock

was it rebuilt to stock specs? a stock 200 with a 2bbl and header is probably good for just under 100hp. a directly mounted carb might be worth a little more, same with a cam and whatever extra displacment and head flow you may have got from mechine work

no way to really know untill you roll it up on they dyno or atleast send it down the 1/4

Above all, throughly proper tuning plays a HUGE part. It will run terribly if it's not tuned properly.

And for tuning, you'll more than likely have to experiment a bit.
