After rebuilding my engine and increasing the CR to about 9.2:1, I believe my starter went out.
It was really sluggish all the time, so I worried that my battery was dying, but it had a full charge.
I was out working on it a few days ago, and I started my engine up (sluggishly of course). After turning it off, I wanted to start it back up, but i turned the key and it made this horrible grinding noise.
I'm pretty sure its the starter, as a result of the load the extra CR has put on it. Anyone have any suggestions? I dont believe I need a high torque starter or anything like that, just a rebuilt stock with a good warranty. Let me know what you guys think.
