I talked to Clifford.....

It would make sense if it is just a powder coat, to see how they rust, but Clifford told me they were ceramic coated. It doesnt make any sense to powder coat em and not ceramic coat em. The only guy in town that I have heard of who does powder/ceramic coating like this wants $100 I think to get em coated. You are right though, I ain't gonna see any money from Clifford. I'll have to evaluate ceramic coating em.

Anyone try any of Eastwood's ceramic coatings with any success? Something I could do myself would save me a LOT of trouble and effort if I don't have to remove the headers, since they are in my only car which is my daily driver.

If they are black, they are more than likey painted. But since ceramic is available in black, it is possible. Considering the price you paid, my guess is they are painted.

If they are in fact ceramic coated, find out what the warranty is? Ceramic coating should not rust or pit. If so the coating has failed they need to be recoated.

Many companies advertise Jet-Hot, then use a cheaper supplier. If they truely are Jet Hot coated, then Jet-Hot will recoat them the first time at no charge. All you pay for is the shipping.
