I6 in an IMCA?

The 229 V6/305 V8 items are the same deck height (1.531 or 1.563"), but need a 56 thou overbore to fit. The dish is about 12 cc's. Pin is 0.927, not 0.9112 as in the Fords.

TRW made three different casting numbers of forged pistons for these engines. The V6 item has provision for the rod offset, but it is okay to use as long as you can centre the rod on the piston properly.

You can do lots with them, as they are strong and they used to be very cheap. Since the demise of the 305, I'd say they will only be harder to get.
 
I found out That the minimum wieght is 2,450 lbs, and no special alllowances for running fewer cylnders or a smaller engine. I think the dream has been killed.
 
The engine set back rule kills the idea even if you had a 300 lb weight advantage. The 2 extra cylinders in length have to go forward,and that alone kills the handling.
