I'm going to Autozone to upgrade from my load-o dist. problems and would appreciate someone going over my shopping list
I'm tryign to eliminate frustration with the counter guy who only knows what's listed in the book. Any help with description and/ or part numbers would definatley help me out. Here's the list:

1978 Ford Fairmont
1) Distributor
2) Distributor cap adapter
3) Distributor cap
4) Rotor
5) MSD6a
6) MSD/Duraspark II Harness adapter (need part number)
7) MSD Blaster 2 Coil
8) Wires - what size/ make/ product number?
9) Spark Plugs - what kind and number for colder than stock plug

Am I forgeting or missing anything? Do I need to install a resistor in this set up? I am unable for some reason to view the images in the tech dsII section so that's been a draw back of this computer. Anything else I need to add to my list? Or any further advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot - you guys rule!

:D

The resistor isn't needed. As for wires, I got an Accel kit that you put your ends on yourself-Makes for custom lengths that look really good. Summit racing has a better price on the MSD stuff and they list the adaptor cable if you call their guys. And finally the distrubutor, make sure you tell them that you want the one with single vacuum advance port versus the one with two. You might have to file the base of the dizzy where it goes into the engine(tight fit , but it goes). With spark plugs, going to a colder plug isn't needed because the msd will fire very well through the stocks-you can open up the gaps to around 50 thous.
