Hi, Im new here, but Im very happy I found this board.
Over the next few months my dad, a couple friends and I are going to be building a HAMBster dragster. Some of you may know about the HAMB(hokey ass message board), but its basically a bunch of guys that are into old school hot rods and drag racing.
If you want more info go to jalopyjournal.com
Anyway that brings me to you our little dragster will be a period correct 50's style dragster (non slingshot) with cars like "the bug" in mind.
The obvious choice would be a flathead v8, BUT We have decided to run a 223, mainly because we have access to several engines, and because it will be cool!
right now we are in the planning stages, but Im sure Ill have plenty of questions that you can answer, and Ill post all of the stuff we learn on here. I Port and rebuild cylinder heads so ill post flow numbers and cutaways and things like that for you guys to see.
Thanks in advance
Kurt
