Inferno Coil with DSII

Hello,
I have buyed 3 years ago DSII kit from CI with Inferno coil.
I have little problem with my motor and I would like to try another coil with DSII.
Has Anybody has informations about inferno coil ?
Voltage 40 000 ? 45 000 V ?
Impedence 1.5 ohm ? 3 ohm ?
Can I change it by Flame Thrower coil ?

Sorry don't know the coil specs, but some people have also used a Blaster II coil with that kit. Good luck :nod:

Yes, Y would you want too - they're both appropriate for it?
The standard answer is "a steel jacketed, oil filled, 40/45000V quality coil" and these are.
May B there is no 'coil problems"?
 
I may have not understood (& still do, as seen in answering) your Q.
I do not use the Petronix system.
An 'Inferno' is points replacement (under dist. cap) for that system (not -the name we use- 'coil'). Didn't realize that till seeing something on another thread...

I don't think it's advisable to use a Pretronix (points) in a DSII system but can not support that with facts (I'm ingonant on auto. electrics). Isn't that with the HEI (lill 4 pronged model) included system. See a schematic/other info for that (HEI) at gofastforless dot com.

U may need to have BOTH the 'Inferno' (points) and the "Flame Thrower' (coil) included in a Pertonix system.
Just the coil and 'points replacement' are by Petronix - the rest of the ignition system are ford, other manafacturer.

How goes your issues? Car running? Import difficulties? (I have em , I'm trying to get SEB parts and their site has no 'button' for english so I had to go all the way round the whole earth to - Austrailia ! to find english & what I need).

Both the DSII and the pertronix setup expect a 3ohm coil (basically a stock coil), a pertronix 2 setup can use a 1.5 ohm coil (but there is not need to do so). Both would work with the stock 1960s coil, both would work with a 3ohm flame thrower, or any 3 ohm coil (you could use a bosch blue off of a VW bug, it really does not matter)
